Full Circle International Partners with YachtProjects International

Full Circle International is thrilled to announce our sponsorship and collaboration with YachtProjects International.

This partnership represents a significant step forward in marine technology and sustainability

Project Full Circle: Leading the Way in Marine Innovation

About Project Full Circle

Project Full Circle is a multi-million euro bid to design and build the fastest and most fuel-efficient semi-wave slicing powerboat to circumnavigate the globe for the much-coveted UIM world record, currently 60 days, 23 hours, 49 minutes.

The superboat is a completely new design from Professor Bob Cripps, former Technical Director of VT HalmaXc. Designed in the UK and constructed from marine-grade aluminium, it features an exceptionally efficient hull that will cut fuel consumption by up to 30 percent. The project brings together more than a dozen leading European companies to showcase their latest marine products.

Innovative Hybrid Fuel Technology

In addition to the vessel’s innovative design, Project Full Circle has joined forces with Advanced Fuel Development to showcase a revolutionary hybrid fuel—a mixture of MGO, 35 percent water, and an emulsifying agent, which uses patented technology to inject hydrogen into the mixture. This fuel dramatically cuts harmful emissions and meets the IMO’s 2030 standards without any loss of power. Importantly, this technology can be used on almost any diesel engine with only minor modifications, potentially delivering a game-changing moment in the marine industry’s quest to cut pollution.

Satellite Communication Systems

As part of this groundbreaking partnership, YachtProjects International will be the main communication supplier for Project Full Circle. They are providing the satellite systems necessary to transmit continuous live environmental, health, and engineering data to universities, schools, and engineering companies worldwide in real-time. The state-of-the-art satellite systems being installed will enable the new “eLogbooks,” which are Lloyds Register certified and flag state approved, offering cyber-secure data accessibility for crews, auditors, remote engineers, medical support, and continuous environmental information.

Alistair Thompson, Managing Director of Full Circle and Advanced Fuel Development, commented:

“We are extremely pleased that the owners of YachtProjects International have come on board to deliver information to the global audience and government bodies who will be following the project around the world. The real-time information coming from the boat will provide irrefutable evidence of the fuel and environmental savings we are making.”
